6-day Lhasa/Shigatse Tour
This amazing 6-day tour may be short on time, but is full of adventure. Explore the bustling markets of the Barkhor and watch the locals as they prostrate around the Johkang Temple. You will also be invited into a local Tibetan home where you can witness their traditional way of life. After fully exploring Lhasa, you’ll have a chance to get lost in the endless Tibetan landscape while you take a short hike along the turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok. Then, you’ll be taken to see the Kumbum Stupa, the most elaborate golden Buddhist Monument in Tibet.

  • Arrival in Lhasa

    Meal: None
    Accommodation: Lhasa
    Fly to the holy city of Lhasa, capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet. You are greeted by tour guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure for you to relax and adjust to the high altitude.

  • Lhasa One Day Tour

    Meal: None
    Accommodation: Lhasa
    Tour starts from the religious Potala Palace (3700 m )built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan king-Songtzen Gampo. The present one was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. It became known as the "Winter Palace" by the 1750, when the 7th Dalai Lama built the Norbulingka Park as his summer residence. After lunch, you will visit Jokhang Temple, situated in the old section of Lhasa. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is the most sacred place in Tibet. Pilgrims come here to pay homage from all over Tibet. Visit Barkhore Street in the evening.

  • Lhasa One Day Tour

    Accommodation: Lhasa
    Full day sightseeing takes you to Drepung Monastery which is the largest of the monastery of the Gelug Sect in Tibet. After that, you will visit Norbulingka Park. In 1752, the 7th Dalai Lama built the first palace here for successive Dalai Lamas to carry out their political and religious activities during the summer season. Today Norbulingka has become a public park for picnicking, relaxing and entertainment.

  • Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigatse (7 hours driving)

    Accommodation: Shigatse
    Drive to Gyantse after breakfast. On the way, dazzling Yamdrok-tso Lake(4441 m ) (3 hours driving)can be seen from the summit of the Kamba-la pass(4794m). Yamdrok is one of Three Holy Lake in Tibet. When you arrive at Gyantse, visit Pelkor Chode Monastery. The Monastery is founded in 1418, notable for its superb Kumbum Chode(10,000 Images Stupa). Later transferred to Shigatse
    Day 4
  • Shigatse-Lhasa (Tashilunpo Monastery)

    Meal: None
    Accommodation: Lhasa
    Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery, which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama, then the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas. In the afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Then, our guide will take you to visit a local Tibetan family and Tibetan carpet workshop for free. Overnight in Lhasa

  • Exit Tibet

    Accommodation: None
    Morning Airport dropping off, end the trip.
